I'm fashionably late with posting this to my portfolio, but it's better late than never!
I was fortunate enough to be able to work alongside an incredibly talented team as an Environment Artist at Playground Games. As a disclaimer, every shot posted has an element that has been worked on by myself, but also represents the hard work of a multitude of exceptionally talented members of the team.
My responsibilities whilst working on Forza Horizon 4 included but were not limited to:
- Creating textures in Substance Designer
- Modelling and creating decals in Substance Painter and 3DS Max
- Application of textures using in-engine tools
- Scene composition and environment set dressing
- Texture and asset optimisation
- Bug fixing and polish
- Liaising across departments to solve issues and refine tools
